FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE SCP FOUNDATION?

"The SCP Foundation is a fictional organization documented by the web-based collaborative-fiction project of the same name. Within the website's fictional setting, the SCP Foundation is responsible for locating and containing individuals, entities, locations, and objects that violate natural law."

WHAT IS SPACE CORPS PRODUCTIONS?

Space Corps Productions is a small company producing cool stuff based on the SCP Foundation and its fictional universe.

Basically, it's a one person studio. It's me, John Precedo, and any collaborators I can rope in to help out with various aspects of our projects.

WHY "SPACE CORPS PRODUCTIONS"?

"Space Corps" is a nod to the TV series Red Dwarf. It's the organisation that Arnold Rimmer's brother belongs to, and the source of the "Space Corps Directives" that Rimmer is so fond of quoting.

"Productions" is because we intend to produce a number of projects in various media (books, games, etc). Plus the acronym for "Space Corps Productions" is SCP, which makes us sound like a front company of the SCP Foundation - which is pretty neat.

OUR PRODUCTS - BOOKS

We intend to produce a number of books:

"CATALOGUE OF KNOWN SCPS"

This is a full catalogue of all known SCPs, based on the contents of the SCP Foundation website (www.scpwiki.com) on 4th August 2020.

It's formatted as a catalogue prepared by the fictional Dr [REDACTED] for the use of new Foundation staff during their orientation period.

It also has a useful index, which includes links to references in the main text to notable individuals and organisations such as Foundation
staff, MTFs, Sites and Areas, as well as references to SCPs in other SCPs' entries.

Buy it on Amazon or get a FREE SAMPLE HERE (contains the first 10 SCPs only).

OUR PRODUCTS - GAMES

We intend to produce at least one game: "SCP: Something Causes Panic".

"SCP: Something Causes Panic" will be a survival horror game set in the SCP universe. You start off as a D-class in a randomly generated base. Every game will create a new base, with different SCPs in containment

"SCP: Something Causes Panic" will feature:
● randomly generated maps and bases,
● 5,470 SCPs in the database,
● 2,958 SCPs you can actually interact with

WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD YOUR GAMES?

Nowhere (yet). Watch this space!

WHY DON'T THE SCPS IN YOUR "CATALOGUE OF KNOWN SCPS" AGREE WITH THOSE ON THE SCP FOUNDATION'S WEBSITE?

- Minor reason first. We did some small edits to remove some formatting issues (and make it easier to display some SCPs in our game). So if there are slight discrepancies between the book and the website, it's down to this.

- Major reason second. The SCP Foundation website is a wiki. It's constantly in flux - authors are editing their own SCPS, other authors are improving them and editing them, people are voting on SCPs and SCPs that don't have a certain score and number of "upvotes" get deleted and replaced with something else in that SCP slot. We took a webscrape of the SCP website on 4th August 2020 and based all of our content on that static snapshot (it's *much* harder to hit a moving target!). So, quite a lot of changes could have happened between August 2020 and when you are reading this FAQ. Our book and game agree with how the website looked in August 2020, not necessarily with how it looks now.
